Short daily meditation
We are often asked why so many young people come to Taizé? What answer can we give? It was unexpected. The years pass, and we are no less astonished. Gradually we realized that it was essential to live in a mutual trust with the younger generations. We wanted with all our hearts to see a capacity for trust come to fruition in the young; it is a lever to provide a way out of a crisis of confidence in humanity.
Sometimes we ask ourselves whether the welcome we offer here is not too rudimentary, too poor. And we discover that with great simplicity of heart and with very few resources, we are enabled to accomplish a Gospel hospitality that did not seem possible.
