The call to follow Christ places us before an alternative: the choice between all or nothing. There is no middle ground. Even when a fog of hesitations catches us unawares, we would like to listen to him when he tells us, “Come and follow me. I will lead you to the wellsprings of living water, (9) the wellsprings of the Gospel.”
