The apostle Peter saw Jesus during his life on earth. But with the deep realism of his faith, he knew well that “we love Christ without having seen him and, though we still do not see him, we place our trust in him.” And he could go on to write, “You are filled with a joy beyond words that already transfigures you.” (7)
