What have you achieved that you are proud of?» These are some of the questions asked at meetings in the villages of the Lubumbashi region. As well as providing pastoral care, the catechists in the church communities are also involved in setting up and managing cooperatives. Farming is the main activity here, and the land is very fertile. However, many young people remain unemployed after completing their schooling, or are forced to go elsewhere if they want to practise a trade. Coming to TaizéGroups, adults and familiesHere is some up-to-date information concerning your arrival at Taizé.
▪ On arrival, go directly to Olinda (village of Ameugny): to simplify explanations of your arrival, we won’t welcome you first in Taizé, but in Olinda, from 3:30pm on (see map below). The welcome itself will take place in the Olinda 1 building, with parking available at an accessible distance (parking address: 17 Le Creux à la Berthète, 71460 Ameugny).
