These short readings are those read, day by day, at community prayer in Taizé. The Bible reference given indicates a slightly longer passage.

Mon, 9 December
The Lord had spoken through the prohet: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Emmanuel, a name which means “God-with-us”.
