A time of personal silence and listening. Possibility of receiving the sacrament of reconciliation.

“Moments in the life of Brother Roger.” A film on sixteen moments in the life of the founder of the Taizé Community, from his childhood to his dramatic death (90 minutes).

CHURCH

“The beauty of heaven on earth”: visit to the Riga Orthodox cathedral of the Nativity, with its icons and its liturgical chants.

Small provisional communities: living for a month with three or four others in a neighborhood to share its life, pray and take part in acts of solidarity.

SOLIDARITY / SOCIETY

Europe today: what can we do for the unity of the continent? Sharing with people from several different countries working to build Europe.

Welcoming migrants and refugees: people working to offer hospitality share their experiences.

Towards a better integration of all in society: sharing with former homeless persons and former prisoners.

CULTURE AND FAITH

200 years of artistic treasures: visit to the National Latvian Art Museum.

Celebrate Hannukah, the festival of lights, with the Jewish community of Riga. Songs and dances.

Classical music concert: young Latvians play Bach, Fauré, Dubra, Prauliņš...

A road to freedom—Latvia’s struggle under Soviet occupation. Personal stories and visits to sites on the Boulevard of Freedom.

Voices of Latvia: different groups let us listen to and take part in Latvian choral music.

God’s creation as seen by a scientist. Reflection led by Prof. Vyacheslavs Kashcheyevs, specialist in quantum physics and nanotechnology, University of Latvia.

Latvia and its traditional music, dance, the “kokle” (ancient instrument).
