Prayers in Aotearoa-New Zealand

Prayers with songs from Taizé exist in many places in Aotearoa-New Zealand. The prayers appearing on this page are regular prayers known directly or indirectly to the brothers and which are in touch with the reality of the local Church in their area. They are especially open to young adults.

The "pilgrimage of trust on earth" is not a movement in the formal sense of the word at all. So no one has a list of "members". It is often possible, however, to put people in touch with others in their locality. Please feel free to contact us.

Many of the regular prayers that have taken place in parishes over the years across the country exist no longer. Please let us know if you begin a prayer in your parish.
