Christ Jesus, when we listen to your word, instead of answering our question "Who is my neighbour?" you show us the way to become the neighbour of everyone we meet. By your Holy Spirit, awaken in our hearts a compassionate love for those who are in distress, left by the roadside. You help us to enter into a communion from which no-one is shut out, where all of us are part of the same human family, created in God’s image.
