An ecumenical meeting, Prague 19-21 April 2024, organised with the brothers from Taizé, will continue the tradition of ecumenical meetings of the Days of Trust that have been held over the years in various cities in the Czech Republic. Since 2007, when the first such meeting was held in Zlín, the cities of Brno, Olomouc, České Budějovice, Prague and Ostrava have taken turns to host the meetings.

The upcoming meeting in Prague is entitled “You know my concerns” (Psalm 139:23). This will be the theme for the programme of the meeting, which will consist of Bible introductions, sharing in small groups, workshops and prayers with songs from Taizé. Participants will be hosted by local residents.

We would like to invite young people aged 18-35 years old not only from the Czech Republic but also from other countries.

Provisional programme

All prayers and most of the other parts of the programme will take place in the Salvátor church (address: U Salvátora, Salvátorská 1, Prague 1).

Friday 19 April 19
16:00-18:00 arrival and welcome
19:30 evening prayer, with the prayer around the cross; then departure to host families

Saturday 20 April
breakfast with host families
9:00 morning prayer
10:00 Bible introduction, then sharing in small groups
12:00 midday prayer
13:00 lunch and packed supper distribution
15:30 workshops
18:00 supper
19:00 song practice
19:30 evening prayer with the festival of light; then departure to families

Sunday April 21
breakfast with host families
participation in the Sunday service
11:30 short prayer and a closing word
