If spiritual values in many countries were not being called into question, our community would not have been led to welcome, week after week, young people not just from the North, East, and South of Europe, but also from other continents.
Seeing all these young faces on our hill of Taizé, we realize that they come with vital questions: “What does Christ want from me? How can I find a meaning for my life in him?” Without always sensing it clearly, they are trying to follow Christ.
The important thing for my brothers and myself is to respond to their trust by being, above all, men of prayer and of listening, never spiritual masters.
