November 2007: A visit to South Africa

Visits in November 2007 In Johannesburg, Pretoria, Soweto, in the Gauteng Region; Pietermaritzburg and Durban in the Kwazulu Natal Region; Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape and Cape Town in the Western Cape Region; the brothers received a tremendous welcome wherever they went in South Africa. Malawi: "A house that’s complete"

“A home is not complete unless it has visitors.” Following the announcement of the journey to be made by three of the brothers in East Africa in October 2007, this reaction was sent to us by someone committed in the service of the Anglican Church in Malawi. April-May 2007: In West Africa

In April - May, brothers of the Community made a series of visits in West Africa: Benin, Togo, Ghana and Nigeria, with, among other events, a weekend with students at the Paul VI Centre, Cotounou, and a retreat at the Benedictine Monastery at Toffo. One of the brothers comes from Togo, and he was joined for two weeks by one of the brothers who live in the Taizé house at Dakar, Senegal. February-March 2006 : In East Africa

In February-March this year, one of the brothers spent five weeks travelling in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. When I left Taizé I was alone, but throughout the entire the journey I was well taken care of. For there were many “guardian angels” watching over me, guiding my steps and making sure that everything went well at each stage of the way.
