Gathering of friendship for young Christians and Muslims | Postponed until summer 2021

Because of the Covid-19 epidemic and the isolation measures taken in many countries, the meeting of friendship between young Muslims and Christians has been postponed until summer 2021, from Wednesday 14 July to Sunday 18 July.

Taizé, July 14-18, 2021

We are happy to invite you for this gathering of young Christians and Muslims. The theme for the weekend will be: Setting out to meet, living and acting together. Please let your Muslim friends know about it. Young people from 18 to 35 years-old are especially invited. As well as the usual programme for the meetings in Taizé, there will be workshops and gatherings relating to mutual understanding between Christians and Muslims.

- Christian and Muslim prayers ↓

For prayers of the Muslims, a permanent room will be available.

All are invited to the prayer of the brothers of the Taizé Community. The prayer is comprised to a large extent of meditative songs, most of which are biblical verses. Everyone is free to sing or not. Christians can also attend the prayer of the Muslims. A respectful way do to this is to be present at the back of the room, without participating in the bodily gestures of the prayer.
