Jesus said to his disciples: You will be persecuted because of my name. But make up your mind not to worry about how to defend yourselves, for I shall give you words and wisdom.

As Jesus was eating with his disciples, he took a loaf of bread, and after blessing it he broke it, gave it to them, and said, “Take it; this is my body.”

Jesus said: Strive first for the kingdom of God and God’s righteousness. Do not worry about tomorrow.

Jesus said to the Samaritan woman, “The hour is coming —indeed is already here —when true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth: that is the kind of worshipper the Father seeks.”

Paul writes: Just as through their connection to Adam all human beings die, so through their connection to Christ all will be made alive.

Come to Christ, the living stone, rejected by human beings but chosen and precious in God’s sight.

Paul writes: The whole of creation has been groaning as in childbirth up to the present time. And we too groan inwardly as we wait with eagerness for our bodies to be set free.

Paul writes: May our Lord Jesus Christ, and God our Father who has given us his love and, through his grace, such ceaseless encouragement and sure hope, encourage and strengthen you in every good word and deed.
