Daily Bible readings

Let us not become tired of doing good. The harvest will come in good time if we persevere.

Your faithful love supports me, Lord. However great the anxiety of my heart, your consolation brings joy to the soul.

Isaiah said: God’s Spirit will be upon the Messiah. He will not judge by appearances, but he will judge the weak with justice and give fair sentence for the humble in the land.

The peoples of the earth will say: Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, for him to teach us his ways and for us to walk in his paths.

The Lord says: My people will not go hungry or thirsty, they will not be scorched by the heat of the desert, for the one who has compassion on them will be with them, guiding them to springs of water.

Looking at his disciples, Jesus said: Happy are you who are poor, the kingdom of God is yours.

God says: Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, my faithful love for you will not be shaken.

After hearing Jesus, people were amazed and said to each other, “Here is a new teaching, and with authority behind it: he even gives orders to unclean spirits and they obey him!”
