The Lord says: I take no pleasure in the death of anyone. Turn to me and live!

Very early, long before dawn, Jesus got up and went to a deserted place and there he prayed. When the disciples found him, he said to them, “Let us go on to the neighbouring towns, so that I may proclaim the message there also.”

The Lord says: I did not tell my people to search for me in chaos. I am the Lord God, who proclaims justice, who speaks what is true.

Paul writes: I do not consider that I have already made it, but forgetting what is behind and straining towards what is ahead, I press on towards the goal.

Paul writes: You are God's building. By the grace of God which was given to me, I laid the foundations and someone else is building on them. Now each person must be careful how they do the building. For nobody can lay down any other foundation than the one which is there already, namely Jesus Christ.

We do not fix our eyes on what is seen but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

During the last meal with his disciples, Jesus said to them, “If I, who am Lord and Master, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet.”

John writes: I looked and saw a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, people and language. And they all fell down and worshipped God.
