The Risen Christ opened the minds of his disciples to understand the scriptures, and he said to them, “Thus is it written that the Christ would suffer and on the third day rise from the dead.”

Peter writes: Cast all your anxiety on God, because God cares for you.

Paul writes of the first Christian communities: Throughout ordeals of hardship, their unfailing joy and extreme poverty overflowed in rich generosity.

The Lord helped those who were proclaiming the good news, and a great number of people believed and turned to God.

John writes: How great a love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called God’s children. And that is what we are!
