Since 1995, gatherings of the Diocese of Autun, which includes Taizé, have taken place every five years in Taizé. As part of the Jubilee Year of the Catholic Church, a new edition called "Passeurs d'espérance" (Bearers of hope) brought participants from across the diocese to Taizé on the weekend of 4–5 October 2025.

Those present were divided into small groups of ten with people they did not know and took part in workshops they had not chosen. In a synodal spirit, these groups reflected together on signs of hope the Church can offer in today’s challenges. Witnesses of hope shared their experience in workshops on peace, welcoming migrants, care for creation, solidarity with young people, the sick, older or disabled persons, the poor, or prisoners. This innovative approach helped many participants broaden their horizons, discover new realities, and meet people they had not met before.

The programme, with community prayers and times together for all, became a deep time of prayer, and the hill of Taizé allowed them to share a beautiful moment in a warm atmosphere.
