Latest news from the preparation
3 Dec 2025 | Le Pélerin | An Unforgettable Meeting, from Student to Host
Discover the inspiring testimony of David, a 53-year-old architect, and his deep attachment to the ecumenical community of Taizé (Saône-et-Loire), known for its songs and welcome of young people.
His first encounter with Taizé was in 1997, when he was a student. A musician, he happened to join a recording workshop of songs and lived an “unforgettable” experience of prayer and exchange with young people from around the world.
A few years later, in 2002, David and his wife Adeline naturally opened their home in Courbevoie to welcome four young Polish pilgrims during the European meeting of Taizé held in Paris. Marked by simple sharing and the wonder of their guests, this experience allowed them to “broaden their horizons”.
Taizé also shaped the upbringing of their children, teaching them that “appearances do not matter; what is in the heart counts.” Today, Taizé remains essential for the family, a true source of spiritual inspiration.
In conclusion, David and Adeline renew this commitment by joining the organisation team and opening their door again for the 48th European meeting of young people in Paris, from 28 December to 1 January.
2 Dec 2025 | RCF Radio | The Morning Show Guest
In one month, several tens of thousands of young people from across Europe will travel to Paris at the invitation of the Brothers of the Taizé Ecumenical Community. A new step in the pilgrimage of trust on earth begun by Brother Roger in 1978. Brother Benoît, coordinator of this European meeting, speaks about the role of peacemakers embodied by the young participants.
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.” Advent marks an important time for Christian communities around the world. As Christmas approaches, hundreds of thousands of believers prepare to celebrate the Nativity. The annual Taizé meeting is a key moment for many young Christians across Europe. This event shows the continued commitment of the Taizé ecumenical community, which since 1978 has fostered dialogue and peace.
19 Nov 2025 | KTO | The HQ of Taizé Paris 2025
The 48th European Meeting of Taizé, whose preparations were covered by KTO TV, will take place in Paris and Île-de-France from 28 December to 1 January, welcoming about 15,000 young people. It is the sixth edition organised in this region.
This ecumenical meeting is envisioned as an event of unity and a chance for dialogue to share faith in Christ, rather than a gathering focused only on Taizé.
The organisation relies on a team of 18 young European volunteers (from Spain, Portugal, France, among others), committed for four months (September to January). They are based in a preparation centre made available by the Diocese of Paris in the 1st arrondissement, near the church of Saint-Roch. Their work includes coordinating prayers and workshops in major churches in central Paris, and working with local communities (Catholic, Protestant, Orthodox) across Île-de-France, especially in Val-de-Marne (94), to welcome participants. Despite different cultures, these young people live in fraternity and are united by the goal of spreading a warm welcome.
