When Jesus saw the large crowd, he had compassion on them because they were like sheep without a shepherd, and he began to teach them at length.

The Risen Christ said to Mary of Magdala: Go and find my brothers and tell them: I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.

The Lord makes of his people his wife and says of her: I will draw her to myself, I will lead her into the desert and speak to her heart.

The Lord says to his people: I remember the faithful love of your youth, when you followed me through the desert.

Jesus said: The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give his life to free many people.

A third time, Jesus said to Peter, “Do you love me?” Peter was hurt that he asked him a third time, “Do you love me?” and said, “Lord, you know everything; you know I love you.”

Paul writes: Love is patient and kind. Love does not seek its own advantage, it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but finds its joy in the truth.

After the people saw Jesus feed the crowd, they began to say: “Surely this is the prophet who is to come into the world.” Jesus, realizing that they were about to come and take him by force to make him king, withdrew to the hills again, alone.
