After the people saw Jesus feed the crowd, they began to say: “Surely this is the prophet who is to come into the world.” Jesus, realizing that they were about to come and take him by force to make him king, withdrew to the hills again, alone.

God did not make death and takes no pleasure in the destruction of the living. God created all things for life.

Looking at his disciples, Jesus said: Happy are you who are poor, the kingdom of God is yours.

Paul writes: Train yourself to live in godliness: it holds out promise both for the present life and the life to come.

Jesus said: The words I say to you are not just my own, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work.

Paul writes: Stand firm in one spirit. You have been granted the privilege, not only of believing in Christ, but of suffering for him as well.

When they saw Jesus walking on the water, the disciples were terrified. But at once he spoke to them saying, “Have courage, it’s me. Don’t be afraid.”

Jesus said: I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.
