A week after the resurrection Jesus came, stood among his discples and said, “Peace be with you.” Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here and see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it in my side. Do not be unbelieving any more but believe.”

Mary said: The Lord’s merciful love stretches from age to age upon those who revere him.

God is trustworthy in all his words and loving in all he does. God supports those who stumble and lifts up those who are bowed down.

Jesus said: Seek first God’s Kingdom, and all other things will be given to you as well.

Jesus said: When the Spirit of truth comes, he will lead you to the complete truth, since he will not be speaking of his own accord but will say only what he has been told.

Jesus taught his disciples: The Son of Man is destined to suffer grievously and to be rejected by the chief priests and scribes, to be put to death, and after three days to rise again.

John writes: This is what we have heard from Christ: God is light, in him there is no darkness at all.

The Risen Christ opened the minds of his disciples to understand the scriptures, and he said to them, “Thus is it written that the Christ would suffer and on the third day rise from the dead.”
