Taking five loaves and two fish and looking up to heaven, Jesus said the blessing over them; then he broke them and handed them to his disciples to distribute among the people. They all ate as much as they wanted.

The One who teaches you will hide no more and you will see him with your eyes. Your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it.”

To keep his promise, God has raised up one of David’s descendants, Jesus, as Saviour, whose coming was prepared by John when he proclaimed a baptism of repentance to all the people.

Jesus said of himself: The stone which the builders rejected has become the cornerstone: this is the Lord’s doing.

The word of God is alive and active. It discerns the thoughts and desires of the human heart.

In Christ, God has reconciled us to himself and entrusted us with the ministry of reconciliation.

Do not be sad or dejected: the joy of God is your strength.

Jesus asked his disciples: “Who do people say I am?” “Some say John the Baptist,” they answered, “some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” “But you,” he said, “who do you say I am?” Peter spoke up and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
