Saying yes to God for life is fire. Six centuries before the coming of Christ, the prophet Jeremiah already realized this. In discouragement he said, “I will no longer think about God; I will no longer speak in his name….” But the day came when he could write, “There was a consuming fire within me, in the deepest part of my being. I wanted to repress it but could not.” (6)
