Jesus, the Christ sent by God, we are thirsty for your presence. You open for us a spring of living water, a free gift that never dries up. We would like always to go to that spring: it is peace; it is gentleness; it transforms our lives.

Christ Jesus, you did not come to abolish but to fulfil the law by which God has always guided his people. And by your Holy Spirit you inspire us to accomplish acts of goodness, of understanding, and of unselfishness towards the people you entrust to us. Help us in this way to bear one another’s burdens: your Law is written in our hearts.

Christ Jesus, before ever we loved you, you loved us. You have chosen us and you call us your friends. Your Holy Spirit reminds us of your words: "There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for those one loves." May we remain in these words so that the joy of belonging to you may grow in us, you who are the source of all joy.
