Often we ask you, living God: What is it that you want for me? And you reply: Listen to what Jesus says to you. He is the one I have sent; he has the words that give life. Whoever hears him hears me.

Jesus, the Christ sent by God, we are thirsty for your presence. You open for us a spring of living water, a free gift that never dries up. We would like always to go to that spring: it is peace; it is gentleness; it transforms our lives.

Christ Jesus, you did not come to abolish but to fulfil the law by which God has always guided his people. And by your Holy Spirit you inspire us to accomplish acts of goodness, of understanding, and of unselfishness towards the people you entrust to us. Help us in this way to bear one another’s burdens: your Law is written in our hearts.
